Customs Explores Tinapa Revival and Export Growth in Cross River
The Nigeria Customs Service says it is exploring ways to revive Tinapa Business and Leisure Resort and strengthen Cross River’s role as an export hub. Acting Area Controller Nkeiruka Nwala shared the plans during a visit to the Obong of Calabar on Wednesday. Nwala said Customs wants to work with government agencies, traditional institutions, investors and businesses to identify trade and investment opportunities. She also called for cooperation to discourage smuggling and support lawful commerce. The Obong welcomed the engagement and recognised Customs’ role in revenue generation, border security and trade facilitation. No specific revival plan or timeline was announced.
