Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri Joins Borussia Dortmund on Season-Long Loan

Arsenal have confirmed that Ethan Nwaneri has joined Borussia Dortmund on a season-long loan, subject to regulatory approval. The 19-year-old midfielder, who joined Arsenal’s academy at eight, became the youngest player in Premier League history when he made his debut against Brentford in September 2022 at 15 years and 181 days. Nwaneri made 37 appearances for Arsenal during the 2024/25 season and scored his first senior goals in a Carabao Cup victory over Bolton Wanderers. He also spent the second half of last season on loan at Marseille, where he made 11 appearances. The England youth international will now continue his development in the Bundesliga with Dortmund.
