Dwight Yorke Expresses Interest in Ghana’s Black Stars Coaching Role
Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke has said he would be interested in coaching Ghana’s Black Stars if the country wants a new and dynamic approach. The 54-year-old holds a UEFA Pro Licence and previously managed Macarthur FC in Australia, where he led the club to its first Australia Cup title. He has also worked as an assistant coach with Sunderland and Trinidad and Tobago. Yorke most recently coached Trinidad and Tobago from November 2024 until March 2026. His side failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, winning four of 18 matches during his tenure. The former striker won the UEFA Champions League, three Premier League titles and the FA Cup with Manchester United.
