Delta Police Raid Yields 22 Arrests, Two Minors Rescued
Delta State Police Command says operatives arrested 22 suspects during an intelligence-led raid on illicit drug dens in Ozoro and Abraka on July 21. The operation, led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, targeted hideouts in Ofagbe Community, Ekrejeta, and the NUT Area. Nineteen men and three women were detained for alleged sale, possession, and distribution of narcotics. Two children were rescued from a den run by their father. They have been placed in protective custody and will be handed over to the State Ministry of Women Affairs. The Commissioner of Police condemned the involvement of minors and urged community vigilance.
