Diomandé Scores First Real Madrid Goal as 10-Man Los Blancos Beat Villarreal

Yan Diomandé scored his first goal for Real Madrid as Los Blancos earned a hard-fought 1-0 win over Villarreal to stay close to Barcelona at the top of the league. After a quiet first half, Diomandé broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute following a VAR check. Real Madrid’s task became harder nine minutes later when Vinícius Júnior was sent off after VAR ruled that he pulled Nathan Saliba’s hair. Villarreal pressed for an equaliser against the 10-man hosts, but Thibaut Courtois made key saves to protect Madrid’s narrow victory.
