12 Dead in Kano–Katsina Highway Crash as Governor Radda Mourns
A tragic head-on collision at Gidan Mutum Daya on the Kano–Katsina road claimed 12 lives late Monday. Six passengers, including the driver, died instantly. Six more succumbed to injuries at the hospital. Two crash survivors are still receiving care at Katsina General Hospital. Five others with minor wounds have been treated and discharged. Governor Dikko Umaru Radda described the accident as devastating, especially during the sacred first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah. He prayed for the deceased and asked motorists to exercise extra caution on all highways. On behalf of the people and government of Katsina State, he extended heartfelt condolences to the families, the Transport Authority, and all those affected.
