NSCDC Arrests Five, Seals Illegal Diesel Refining Site in Kano

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has arrested five people over the alleged operation of an unregistered diesel refining site in Panisau, Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State. The suspects were arrested during an operation involving the command’s oil and gas, armed squad, anti-vandalism and critical infrastructure units. Officials said the site has been sealed while investigations continue. The NSCDC warned that illegal refining can endanger residents, pollute the environment and undermine legitimate businesses. The corps urged the public to report suspicious activities to security agencies.
