What It Means to Be Blessed According to Psalm 1
Psalm 1 teaches that true blessing is more than wealth or material success. It is a life of holiness, favour, happiness and contentment that comes from walking closely with God. A blessed person does not follow ungodly advice or join others in wrongdoing. This does not mean avoiding people who sin. It means refusing to copy their actions, whether it is stealing at work, abusing power or accepting corruption because others do the same. The strength to live differently comes from knowing and meditating on God’s word daily. As we align our choices with Scripture, we gain joy, a clear conscience and the opportunity to reflect Christ to others.
