Troops Kill Nine Suspects in Borno Airstrike, Arrest Six at Jos Hospital

Nigerian troops say they killed nine suspected terrorists in a precision airstrike near Mai Hisari Arege in Abadam Local Government Area of Borno State. The strike, carried out under Operation Guardian, targeted three motorcycles said to be transporting the suspects. In Plateau State, troops of Operation Safe Haven arrested six suspects at a hospital in Jos South. The military said they were receiving treatment for gunshot and machete wounds and are being investigated over alleged kidnapping and terrorist logistics activities. Troops also arrested a Fulani youth leader in Kaduna over alleged links to an attack on Naridon community. In separate operations in Benue, soldiers killed one suspected terrorist in Ukum, arrested a suspect over an attack on a herder in Guma, and recovered a locally made pistol and a motorcycle.
