Adeyanju Claims Makinde Plans to Replace Wike as FCT Minister in 2027
Human rights activist Deji Adeyanju has alleged that Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde is positioning himself to succeed Nyesom Wike as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory in 2027. In a video posted on his social media page, Adeyanju described the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a “distraction,” accusing many of its members of covertly supporting President Bola Tinubu. He argued that party leaders are more interested in bargaining power than genuine opposition. “The PDP is a distraction; what is dead may never die again,” Adeyanju said. “They are just looking for who will have the most bargaining chip. Seyi Makinde wants to replace Wike and maybe become the next FCT minister in 2027. I won’t join their caricature; I don’t have their time.”
