Adeleke Says APC Underestimated Him Over Dancing Image, Seeks Tinubu’s Help on LG Funds

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke says the APC underestimated him because of his dancing image and personality. He said his administration’s work in roads, healthcare, agriculture and workers’ welfare helped secure his re-election. Adeleke said his accessibility and relationship with residents and organised labour also strengthened public support. He claimed Osun had not recorded a workers’ strike under his administration and said his government had improved internally generated revenue. The governor pledged continued support for President Bola Tinubu but said he would seek the President’s intervention over local government funds allegedly withheld for nearly two years. He denied concentrating projects in Ede, insisting that road and infrastructure projects were spread across Osun State.
