13-Year-Old Dies After Accidental Shooting With Unsecured Gun in Bauchi
A 13-year-old boy has died after an unsecured dane gun discharged at Udubo village in Bauchi State’s Gamawa Local Government Area. Police said the gun belonged to a hunter who allegedly left it loaded in his room after returning from a hunting trip. The boy reportedly entered the room, pulled the trigger and sustained fatal injuries. The hunter has been arrested, while the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department. Police have urged hunters and other firearm owners to keep weapons securely out of children’s reach.
