Manchester United Stage Dramatic Comeback to Beat Roma 3–2 in the Champions League
Manchester United came from two goals down to beat Roma 3–2 on Tuesday, ending a nine-game wait for a victory. Roma took the lead through Matías Soulé and a Donyell Malen penalty, both scored in a six-minute spell before half-time. Bruno Fernandes pulled one back from a retaken penalty after a Roma player encroached into the area. Matheus Cunha then equalised after Bryan Mbeumo’s shot hit both posts and Leonardo Balerdi made an error. Cunha scored again from a tight angle four minutes from time. Cunha was sent off for a second booking in stoppage time, but United held on in front of a raucous crowd.
