Rita Edochie Blasts Wedding MC’s One-Sided Cheating Vow

Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has taken aim at a wedding MC who warned only the bride against infidelity while excusing the groom. In a viral video, the MC asked the bride to swear never to meet another man if her husband travels. He prayed that any day she cheats she would be disgraced and sent away. When he addressed the groom, the man simply laughed and the MC only asked God to forgive him if he strayed. Outraged by the double standard, Rita wrote that if men are excused for being “polygamous by nature,” women deserve the same mercy. She condemned society’s unequal judgments and demanded equal accountability and dignity for both spouses. She added that true justice in marriage must not change based on whether the offender is wearing trousers or a skirt.
