Grisly Discovery: Headless Body Found on University of Jos Farmland
Panic gripped the University of Jos community after a headless body was found on a farm within the institution’s permanent site on July 14. A 300-level student told Vanguard the victim was neither a student nor staff member. A senior official, speaking off the record, said the deceased was a local farmer who regularly cultivated crops in the area. Initial findings suggest attackers targeted him specifically and removed his head. Relatives have been notified and arrangements are underway to evacuate the body. University management is aware of the incident and plans to issue an official statement through its Information Directorate. The Plateau State Police Command has not yet released its report.
