Emir of Katsina Tells Tinubu’s 2027 Campaign Chief to Address Hardship and Insecurity

The Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, has urged Senator Abdulaziz Yari, Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, to be truthful with Nigerians and focus on their welfare. During Yari’s visit to his palace, the Emir said insecurity has stopped many farmers from accessing their farmlands and has worsened economic hardship across parts of northern Nigeria. He also raised concerns about declining industries and livelihoods in the region. The monarch said politics should be based on persuasion, consultation and respect for opposing views, not insults, deceit or hostility. He urged political leaders and elders to speak up and pursue practical solutions to insecurity and economic decline.
