NFF Warns NPFL Referees Against Biased Calls, Match Fixing
The NFF Refereeing Development Committee has warned officials in the 2026/27 NPFL season to apply the Laws of the Game fairly and avoid decisions that could damage the league’s integrity. The committee said that while some officials have performed well after six matchdays, others made wrong calls, including decisions that misrepresented the rules. It said match monitors will be deployed to all match centres and will report referees’ actions directly to the NFF Acting General Secretary. Officials found guilty of misconduct could be dismissed and referred to security agencies for investigation over alleged sabotage or match fixing.
