Actor Joseph Momodu Explains Green Card Requirement for Joining US Army

Nollywood actor Joseph Momodu says Nigerians and other West Africans interested in joining the United States Army must already live in the US and hold a valid Green Card. Momodu, who enlisted in June, said eligible applicants can then take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery examination as part of the enlistment process. He cautioned people outside the US against anyone claiming they can offer special links or shortcuts into the army. He said military training was physically and emotionally demanding, but described his enlistment as the fulfilment of a personal dream inspired partly by his late father, who served in the Nigeria Police Force.
