New York Man Charged After Woman Dies in 15-Storey Balcony Fall, Baby Survives
A 31-year-old man has been charged after his 23-year-old girlfriend died following a fall from a 15-storey Bronx apartment balcony in New York. Their eight-month-old daughter, who was also injured in the fall, survived and is receiving treatment in hospital. Police allege that the suspect went to the woman’s apartment to reconcile after earlier domestic violence incidents. Investigators say an argument followed, after which he allegedly threw the mother and child from the balcony before fleeing. He was later arrested by US Marshals and New York police officers and was expected to face arraignment in Bronx Criminal Court. Neighbours and bystanders expressed outrage over the alleged crime.
