Kaduna Pastor, Wife and Daughter Freed After Five Months in Captivity as Son Dies

Rev. Andrew Duniya, his wife, Jemimah, and their daughter have regained freedom after spending five months in captivity following their abduction in Kaduna State. The family was reportedly taken when bandits invaded Gidan Ali community in Ikulu Chiefdom, Zango Kataf Local Government Area, on April 26, 2026. The abductors were said to have demanded ₦270 million for their release. Their return has been overshadowed by the death of their son while the family was held captive. Details of the circumstances surrounding their release have not been made public.
