Woman Recounts How Stranger Allegedly Shielded Her During EndSARS Shooting
A woman has recounted a harrowing experience from the 2020 EndSARS protests, alleging that a stranger shielded her from gunfire and lost his life. She said protesters had been told to bring out Nigerian and military flags, sit down and sing the national anthem. According to her, gunshots later rang out, causing people to flee in panic. The woman said she was holding a microphone on stage when soldiers allegedly singled her out. She claimed a man from the crowd grabbed her and took the bullets meant for her, while others urged protesters not to run.
