Jumbo FC Beat Winners FC 2-0 to Win 2026 Pedro Uzoma U-17 Unity Cup
Jumbo FC of Ogbaru won the 2026 Pedro Uzoma U-17 Unity Cup after a 2-0 victory over Winners FC of Nkpor-Uno at the Justice Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium in Onitsha on August 30. Chimee Nwaanukaenyi scored in the 44th and 65th minutes to secure the title for Jumbo FC. The champions received ₦70,000, while Winners FC earned ₦50,000 and third-placed Michael FC received ₦30,000. Uchechukwu Okezie of 12 Stars Team was named tournament MVP. Chibuike Ochiogu of Michael FC won Best Goalkeeper, while Uche Anslem of Elite FC finished as the competition's highest goalscorer. The annual tournament is designed to identify and develop young football talent in Onitsha and neighbouring communities.
