FFK’s Appointment: A Bold Diplomatic Move for Nigeria
I believe timing matters in politics and character matters in diplomacy. Leadership demands experience, courage and an unshakable commitment to the nation. That is why Chief Femi Fani-Kayode’s appointment as Nigeria’s Ambassador stands out. He has served our country for over 35 years and excelled in every role, whether in government or opposition. He once sparred fiercely with US diplomats over Charles Taylor and Liberia. He defended Nigeria’s interests abroad long before this new posting. I am confident he will protect our nation and its people wherever he goes. I hope he meets Mehdi Hassan in debate and shows the world that Nigeria still has voices that can fire back. With FFK in the saddle, our diplomatic corps has gained an intellectual and fearless champion.
