Jude Okoye Denies Peter Okoye’s $1.2m P-Square Royalty Diversion Allegation
Jude Okoye has denied allegations by his brother, Peter Okoye, that he diverted $1.2 million in P-Square royalties or mishandled the group’s finances. In a video response, Jude said the dispute had previously been addressed during EFCC proceedings and is now before a court. He maintained that royalty payments were documented and distributed under existing agreements. Jude said a 2016 email showed Peter requested that his own royalty share be paid directly to him, while the balance due to Jude and Paul Okoye went to the Northside Entertainment account. He also denied removing Peter as a signatory to P-Square bank accounts. He further claimed that catalogue backend records requested by Peter in October 2022 were sent within six days, and that Peter had received royalty payments in US dollars since 2012. Jude accused Peter of attempting to influence public opinion while the case remains in court.
