Grammy-nominated producer and former Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta cast member D. Smith has said he will now live publicly as a man and use he/him pronouns. In a September 17 statement, Smith said his 12 years living as a transgender woman were “not a mistake” and remained an important part of his life. He added that his respect for the transgender community has not changed. Smith previously said he faced professional setbacks after coming out, including collaborators withdrawing from projects. He said he may share more about his journey at a later time.
