Rivers United Thrash Kun Khalifat 5-0 to Move Second in NPFL

Rivers United moved into second place in the Nigeria Premier Football League after a commanding 5-0 home win over Kun Khalifat FC. Salman Abubakar opened the scoring in the 27th minute with a long-range strike. The hosts led 1-0 at half-time despite creating further chances. Chijioke Mbaoma doubled the lead four minutes after the restart, assisted by Alex Oyowah. Abubakar scored his second in the 58th minute, while Wasiu Falolu and substitute Ekene Awazie completed the emphatic victory. Rivers United now have 10 points from four matches. Kun Khalifat remain 19th with two points from five games.
