Nollywood actress Sola Sobowale became emotional as her daughter consoled her during the launch of Joseph and Esther Homes, a residential care facility for older adults in Ibadan, Oyo State. The home is named after Sobowale’s parents, and the actress was moved during a tribute recognising her vision and resilience. Governor Seyi Makinde commissioned the facility at an event attended by Nollywood stars, including Kunle Afolayan, Femi Adebayo and Ibrahim Chatta. The project aims to give older adults a safe, supportive place to live independently while receiving professional care. Its organisers say the home is intended to complement, not replace, family support.
