Bandits Shoot Dead Two Vigilantes in Ta-Hoss, Plateau State

Bandits attacked two volunteer vigilantes in Ta-Hoss community, Riyom LGA of Plateau State around 10 p.m. on June 10, 2026. The victims, 48-year-old Davou Dalyop Patu and 38-year-old Dalyop Zaram, were on night watch when they were fatally shot. A local leader described the men as dedicated and selfless community guards. Residents are shaken by the killings and fear ongoing security challenges in rural areas of the state. The Berom Youth Moulders Association expressed condolences to the bereaved families. They urged security agencies to step up protection efforts and ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.
