Five Killed, Three Injured in Bandit Attack on Sokoto Communities
The Sokoto State Police Command has confirmed that five people were killed and three others injured during a bandit attack on Girkau community and nearby settlements in Girkau Ward, Kebbe Local Government Area. The attack occurred on Thursday evening. Residents also reported possible abductions and the rustling of cattle, although police said they were still verifying the number of people taken. Police spokesperson DSP Ahmed Rufai said security agencies were gathering more details and would provide updates. The incident comes amid persistent reports of attacks, kidnappings and cattle rustling in Kebbe LGA.
