Osun Police Arrest 45-Year-Old Over Alleged Assault of Minor in Ikire

The Osun State Police Command has arrested a 45-year-old man in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a minor in the Ilupeju area of Ikire. Police said the suspect was a friend and frequent visitor of the victim’s grandmother, with whom the girl lives. The alleged incidents reportedly occurred in September and again on October 2. According to the police, passersby intervened after the second alleged assault, pursued the suspect and handed him over to officers. The state Commissioner of Police has ordered a thorough investigation.
