Gattuso Backs Nuno Tavares for Real Madrid-Level Career
Lazio coach Gennaro Gattuso believes former Arsenal left-back Nuno Tavares has the ability to play for Real Madrid if he develops the right mindset. Tavares joined Arsenal from Benfica in 2021 but struggled to establish himself in the Premier League. He later had loan spells at Marseille, Nottingham Forest and Lazio before joining the Italian club permanently. The Portugal international has started three of Lazio’s first four league matches this season. Gattuso praised his pace and ability on both feet, while stressing that the 26-year-old must improve his consistency and mentality.
