Makinde Announces 75-Metre Setback, ₦6.7bn Compensation for Ibadan Circular Road Properties
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde says built-up areas along the Ibadan Circular Road corridor will have a 75-metre setback. He said the plan will be formally gazetted. Makinde said ₦6.7 billion has been proposed as compensation for affected property owners. He expects payment to begin after approval this week and to be completed before the end of October. During the same media chat, the governor said he had recommended Bimbo Adekanmbi for a ministerial role, but President Bola Tinubu chose Adebayo Adelabu. He also claimed that Nyesom Wike benefited most from the G5 political alliance.
