NOA Osun Urges Proper Waste Disposal as State Marks Independence Day

The National Orientation Agency in Osun State has urged residents to embrace responsible waste disposal and support the state’s environmental sanitation taskforce. The agency said the Independence anniversary should encourage unity, peace, civic responsibility and renewed commitment to national development. It praised the taskforce as a measure to curb refuse dumping on roads, medians and drainage channels. Residents of flood-prone areas were also advised to follow early warnings, avoid dumping waste in drains and stop building on waterways. The agency called on emergency authorities to assess communities affected by recent flooding and provide relief to victims.
