Nigeria’s Falconets will face Colombia in the quarter-finals of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland. Colombia secured the tie with a 1-0 win over hosts Poland in the Round of 16. Martyna Bartczak’s 89th-minute own goal, following a shot by Mariana Silva, proved decisive. The Falconets reached the last eight after a 3-0 victory over England, with goals from Tosin Rafiu, Janet Akekoromowei and Mary Mamudu. Nigeria previously beat Colombia 1-0 in the semi-finals of the 2010 edition.
