ID Buster Promises Knockout Win Over Benjamin Tetteh as Iwo Rallies Behind Him
Thousands of Iwo residents joined an awareness walk to support boxer Rashidi Idowu, popularly known as ID Buster, ahead of his WBA Africa light-heavyweight title bout against Ghana’s Benjamin Tetteh. The walk began at the Oluwo’s palace and moved through Oja Ale before returning for youth boxing displays. The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Adewale Akanbi, pledged support for boxing as a tool for youth development and rewarded ID Buster with cash gifts. ID Buster said he is targeting a knockout victory when he faces Tetteh at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, on September 26. The former UBO Africa light-heavyweight champion also thanked his coaches, promoter and supporters from Iwo and across Nigeria.
