Open Heavens Devotional: Hold On to Jesus Through Every Trial

This devotional reflects on Joseph’s journey from slavery and prison to leadership in Egypt. It teaches that difficult seasons can build faith, character and readiness for greater responsibilities. Drawing from Haggai 2:9, Psalm 105:16–22 and Job 8:7, the message encourages believers not to judge their future by a painful beginning. Joseph’s trials did not end his purpose; they prepared him for it. Believers are encouraged to resist shortcuts, trust God’s process and remain faithful through delays and challenges. The prayer focus is for grace to hold on to Jesus and wait patiently for God’s promised future.
