10 Soldiers Feared Dead, Two Captured in Terrorist Attack on Zamfara Military Base
At least 10 soldiers were reportedly killed and two others captured after heavily armed terrorists attacked a military position in Bindin, Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State. Sources said the attackers arrived on motorcycles and engaged troops in a gun battle that lasted for hours. The soldiers were reportedly overwhelmed by the larger force, while weapons and other military equipment were said to have been taken away. Maru remains a major banditry hotspot despite ongoing operations by Operation Fansan Yamma. The Nigerian Army and Zamfara State Police Command had not officially confirmed the incident at the time of reporting. May the fallen soldiers rest in peace, the injured recover quickly, and the captured personnel regain their freedom.
