Ewenla Backs Tani Olohun, Urges Due Process in Ibadan Arrest Dispute

Ewenla Backs Tani Olohun, Urges Due Process in Ibadan Arrest Dispute

Prince Adedipe Dauda Ewenla has backed Isese advocate Tani Olohun, insisting that constitutional rights and the rule of law must apply equally to all Nigerians, regardless of religion or cultural belief. He commended the Oyo State Police Command over its handling of the attempted arrest in Ibadan. He said the Kwara police officers involved were advised to follow the proper legal process in Ibadan, where the alleged offence was said to have occurred. Ewenla said anyone with a complaint against Tani Olohun has the right to approach the courts. However, he warned against intimidation, harassment, violence or using police authority to settle religious or private disputes. He called on all parties to allow the courts to determine the facts.
