Ex-PSV Defender Explains How Ajax Can Get the Best From Tolu Arokodare

Former PSV defender Jan Wuytens believes Ajax can maximise Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare by playing to his strengths. Wuytens said the 25-year-old is particularly dangerous when supplied with crosses, describing him as dominant in the air and quick enough to trouble defenders. He added that Arokodare’s ability to hold up the ball allows teammates to join attacks. According to Wuytens, Arokodare improved significantly during his time at Genk after the team adapted its approach to suit his physical profile. He said Ajax must provide the right structure and consistent service for the Nigerian forward to become a reliable goalscorer.
