Russell Brand Police Interview Footage Released After Conviction on Four Counts
London’s Metropolitan Police have released footage of interviews with Russell Brand conducted between 2023 and 2025. In the recordings, Brand denied the allegations, said he had lived a “very promiscuous life” and described a 2023 documentary about the claims as “defamatory and fictitious.” When questioned about specific allegations, he repeatedly said he had nothing further to add. The footage was released on the day he was convicted of four offences. He was acquitted of two rape charges and one charge of attempted indecent assault. Brand was denied bail and will remain in custody until sentencing on Monday. The judge said he faces a substantial prison sentence.
