NITP Anambra Holds Career Talk for UNIZIK Planning Students, Announces Best Graduate Award
The Anambra State chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners marked the institute’s 60th anniversary with a career outreach for Urban and Regional Planning students at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, on August 5, 2026. Town-planning professionals spoke to students about career opportunities in the field and the need to build practical skills in GIS, remote sensing and AutoCAD. They also encouraged graduates to register with the Town Planners Registration Council after graduation. The chapter announced an annual Best Graduating Student Award for the department. The award will include a cash prize and a Certificate of Excellence. The session ended with questions from students on preparing for professional practice.
