Married Mother of Five Found Dead at Friend’s House in Kano

A 30-year-old married woman and mother of five was discovered dead on April 11, 2026, at a residence in Sabon Gari, Kano. Neighbours reported that the victim, identified as Sandra from Abia State, asked for food before she lost consciousness. Her friend had stepped out to get a meal when tragedy struck. Police spokesperson CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa confirmed that detectives were sent immediately after the alarm was raised. The woman was pronounced dead at Muhammadu Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital, with no visible signs of violence on her body. Lucky Isuma, 41, and another neighbour involved have been arrested. Kano State’s Commissioner of Police has ordered the case transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department for a discreet inquiry. The force promises to release findings once the investigation concludes.
