Thousands Attend Ave Maria Praise 2026 in Onitsha to Honour Virgin Mary
Thousands of worshippers from Anambra State and neighbouring states gathered at SS. John and Paul Catholic Church in Awada, Onitsha, for Ave Maria Praise 2026. The event was organised by Faithspiration Initiative to mark the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The programme featured prayers, a keynote lecture on Marian spirituality, gospel music and comedy performances. Speakers encouraged Catholics to remain committed to their faith and to promote devotion to Mary and the Rosary. The celebration ended with the cutting of a birthday cake and the distribution of food, bread and cash gifts to vulnerable residents across Idemili, Onitsha and nearby communities.
