Their song echoed the choir of Jehoshaphat, showing that praise can precede deliverance. Suddenly an earthquake shook the prison. Doors flew open and chains fell off. By morning a household was baptized and the church in Philippi was born. Paul later wrote, “Rejoice in the Lord always,” because he had experienced joy in a place of suffering. Prayers/Confessions: Father, I choose to praise You in every situation. I trust Your control and declare Your peace and victory over my life. Amen.
