Kelechi Nwakali Leaves Barnsley by Mutual Consent
Nigerian midfielder Kelechi Nwakali has left English League One club Barnsley by mutual consent, subject to approval from the English Football League. Barnsley confirmed that the 28-year-old has departed Oakwell and wished him well for the future. Nwakali joined the Reds in the summer of 2024 after leaving Portuguese club Chaves. The former Arsenal midfielder made 30 appearances in all competitions, including 12 league starts during the 2024/25 season.
