Akon Says P-Square’s Management Raised Red Flags During May D Collaboration

Akon has shared his view on the long-running rift involving P-Square, saying he noticed signs of poor management while working with the Nigerian music duo. Speaking in an interview, the Senegalese-American singer recalled a collaboration involving May D. He alleged that P-Square’s management initially wanted to exclude May D from the music video, despite his contribution to the song. Akon said he insisted that May D be brought to the United States for the shoot because artists whose voices are heard on a record should also have the chance to be seen. May D previously made similar claims, saying Akon refused to film the video without him.
