Bauchi Health Agency Boss and Four Children Die in Road Accident
The Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Health Contributory Management Agency, Ibrahim Ladan Duguri, and four of his children died in a road accident at Yalwan Duguri in Alkaleri Local Government Area on Saturday, October 17, 2026. The children were identified as Hajara, Usman, Rukayya and Maryam. Another son, Suleiman, reportedly survived the crash and is receiving support from the family. Governor Bala Mohammed described the deaths as a painful loss to Bauchi State and the health sector. Funeral prayers are scheduled for Sunday, October 18, at the palace of the District Head of Yalwan Duguri.
