Dr Chinedu Madubuko has been crowned Eze Chinechendo I, the traditional ruler of Adazi-Ani in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State. The coronation followed his formal recognition by the Anambra State Government. Governor Chukwuma Soludo presented him with a certificate of recognition on February 20, 2026, alongside five other newly recognised traditional rulers. The Adazi-Ani Town Union organised the ceremony at the town hall. Traditional rulers, government officials, clergy and indigenes from Nigeria and the diaspora attended. The Onowu of Adazi-Ani, Sir Augustine Okeke, performed the crowning rites and presented the new Igwe with traditional regalia and the staff of office. Eze Chinechendo I thanked the community for its confidence and pledged to support development, welfare and peaceful resolution of disputes in Adazi-Ani.
