Teacher on Trial for Alleged Sexual Abuse of Pupil Aged 9 to 14

A 65-year-old married teacher faces eight counts of gross indecency with a boy under 14. The offences are said to have taken place between 1991 and 1995 at a preparatory school in Hertfordshire. In a video-recorded interview, the complainant—now in his 40s—recalled first meeting the teacher at age nine when she became his private tutor. He described how their friendship “grew quickly” as she introduced him to adult topics and later manipulated him into sexual activity. The court heard detailed testimony of incidents in the boy’s home and in the teacher’s marital bedroom. He testified she blindfolded and tied him to a bed, used feathers and bondage equipment, and taught him sexual acts over several years. Prosecutors say the evidence shows “continuous and deliberate grooming.”
