IGP Disu Alleges Wanted Suspects Are Sheltering in Osun Government House

IGP Disu Alleges Wanted Suspects Are Sheltering in Osun Government House

Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu has revealed that he received intelligence suggesting criminal suspects may be hiding inside the Osun State Government House. He made the disclosure during a meeting with Governor Ademola Adeleke in Osogbo. Disu said complaints reached him that the governor and other political figures were unhappy with the state police commissioner, Ibrahim Gotan, over various issues. The police boss also noted that Gotan informed him about claims of wanted individuals taking refuge at the Government House. He has advised the commissioner on next steps and warned that any group found harbouring criminals will face legal action. No identities or further details about the suspects have been released as the probe continues.

It's curious that such serious allegations emerged during a governor's meeting, yet no concrete evidence has been shared publicly so far.

I'm not convinced those claims are random gossip, but neither should we jump to conclusions without verifying basic facts first.

Security agencies should share clear evidence or involve independent observers to confirm whether suspects are indeed in the government house.
